Spring 2020: Pitcairn Island

I am guessing most have never heard of this South Pacific Island with a population hovering at approximately 50.  But if I were to say "Mutiny on the Bounty" most would know the story of Captain Bligh losing the HMS Bounty to a group of mutineers lead by Fletcher Christian.  Pitcairn was the uninhabited island those mutineers settled and sank the ship in it's bay aptly named Bounty Bay.

After the disappointment of Rapa Nui I was not setting my expectations too high of being about to tender to the island.  After all, more people reach the summit of Mt Everest annually that actually set foot on the soil of Pitcairn Island.  Luckly, today I became one of the lucky few.
