I am learning how quickly one can lose time on a crossing. I find myself lulled by the gentle rocking and sound of the crashing waves. Mesmerized by the magnificent cobalt blue waters with streaks of aqua in the wake. I could spend hours here reading, writing, staring. I downloaded three books, brought one hardcover, a stack of articles, plus some other additional work. Little progress has been made. Lol
I now fully understand Stephen's love of the sea and his missing being on ship. The open waters of the Atlantic appear a deep purple to him with his colorblindness.
Last night was the first night of Passover. I was delighted I would not have to celebrate on my own. Rabbi Copnick was on board to host seder. The "30 minute" seder turned into two hours with the extra readings, singing, translating into various languages, and stories of different traditions from around the world. The chef prepared a wondeful kosher meal and a special nut free plate for me. It was a blessed way to celebrate the holiday.
