A sea day at last!

You would think a day to relax and catch up, but not quite.  Started the day with my final bridge lesson and then onto the art show of our work.  I am extremely happy about the reception my work got.  Ann and Patty were wonderful teachers.

My canvas bag is the second from the left.  It is my initials and the year in maritime signal flags

My first watercolor.  Inspiration was a Portuguese tile.

These are based on the style of painter Dan Casado.  Mine is the deer in the middle.

These are just some other examples of students work.

Lunch today was the "Galley Market."  It is a enormous buffet through the ship's galley showing off the skills of the chefs and cooks.  Amazing.  There was something for everyone from charcuterie to sashimi, roasts to pizza, seafood to desserts.  Lots of fun and extremely unique.

Afternoon was laundry.  Not very exciting, but I was able to keep my luggage to a single suitcase since I didn't actually need eighteen days work of clothes.  Well worth the time.

In one of my early posts, I wrote how on my first day I felt like an outsider.  I now get it.  Quickly I have gotten to know my fellow  and the crew.  All are delightful.  I am constantly surprised at who knows me, the friendliness, and high quality of service.
